B: Children go to their neighbours and say “Trick or treat” and people give them sweets, chocolates and nuts. They really enjoy this day.

B: They decorate their houses and Christmas trees, prepare tasty food and invite their families and friends.
A: Do people usually stay at home or go out?

A: Do they prepare presents for each other?
B: Oh, yes, they do. They give each other chocolates, beautiful candles, toys and other things.

   Christmas is the most important religious holiday in Russia. They celebrate it on the 7th of January. People dress beautifully and go to church. People decorate their houses before New Year’s Eve. For Christmas they cook some tasty dishes and invite family and friends for a special dinner. They sing and dance around the Christmas tree and give Christmas gifts to each other.
